Melody McMullen is from Longview, TX. She is a 1994 graduate of Pine Tree High School. She completed a bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1999 and worked Masters Degree in Choral Conducting. After college, she and her husband Clint moved to Houston where she worked in the Cypress Fairbanks School District and was employed by the Houston Grand Opera.  She moved back to Longview in 2006 and began teaching at Pine Tree High School for 8 years. She moved to the Dallas area for 1 year but decided that she was really more of an East Texas girl after all. She taught in Gilmer. TX for 4 years and has now been the Choir Director at Longview HS for the last 4 years.  Her choirs have consistently been sweepstakes award winners and she is sought to sing professionally in North and South East Texas. When she is not teaching, she is an avid lover of her dogs, cats, a good audiobook, and sleep.
